Inua

Inua, known in the ancient language as Inuahr'arnr'tia (Ee-noo-ah-arr-narr-shaa,) is the king of gods and husband to Pythia. He rules the Tower of the Gods with his wife, with both of their thrones sitting side by side at the god council that they host. Inua is the biological father of Sage and Mizu, and the adoptive father of Roz.

Although he's the king of all gods, he's rather gentle, and rarely cross. If any of the council goers need to be disciplined for any reason, Pythia will approach them and only bring them to Inua as a last resort.

Inua is a medium to large male dragon that has gray-ish iridescent scales that often lighten or darken depending on his mood. His wings are also a dark gray, with a long black mane that starts from his head and neck. His ears are large webbed fins that abduct and adduct with his expressions, and his eyes are bright blue.

He also has a smaller, more human-like form, where he has long, dark hair, angular facial features, and a human midriff while keeping his wings, ears, tail, hind legs and some of his scales that cover his back.

Early life

Inua was one of the three born from tears shed by the gods killed during the genocide, along with Pythia and Knocta. His egg was discovered by the many tribes of the valley, who all stopped their in-fighting to come and marvel at the baby who fell from the sky. Each tribe taught him different skills, and, most importantly, how to be confident and diplomatic. He also had a rambunctious side that the village hunters fostered. When Pythia appeared at his village, however, the tribal shamans warned him that the two were destined to share a very important and daunting fate, which he must take seriously. Inua then joined Pythia on her travels across the mortal realms.

When the two traveled south, they met Knocta, who Inua at first considered an enemy and a rival. During one of their spats, the three were ambushed by a gang of enemies, where Inua watched Knocta throw himself in front of Pythia in order to save her life. After the battle, he helped nurse the now half-blind Knocta back to health, keeping him company while Pythia would forage for medicine. Inua and Knocta soon became close friends, with their loyalty lasting into their adulthood.

Reclaiming the tower

Inua, along with Pythia and Knocta, were one of the three who were destined to travel to the Tower of the Gods and rid it from the beast that plagued it. To do so, they traveled the land to slay pieces of the genocidal beast’s body, which the mortals had dubbed the Seven Vessels. Not only did the beast grow weaker with each one they fell, but Inua and the others began to be worshiped by the mortals as small gods themselves.

Unfortunately, even with the defeat of all Seven Vessels, Inua’s body could not handle the presence of the genocidal beast, and was crushed when arriving at the Tower of the Gods. It was only by the prayers of the mortals that he had saved along his travels that he was revived. The three ascended to godhood through the praise of the mortals, and became strong enough to defeat the beast once and for all.

Godhood

After the fall of the beast, Inua, Pythia and Knocta became the new gods of the tower. They still had the problem of the body of the beast in the tower, which was dripping down to the mortal realm below. Inua suggested that, instead of trying to rule everything by themselves, they take what was left over of the beast and form new gods to rule beside them.

As an adult, Inua had formed many gods, and even promoted a few mortals to godhood. He, along with Pythia, formed the god council so that everyone could gather and help each other run the realms fairly and smoothly. Most of them began to call him “father,” “the heavenly father,” or just simply “the king” due to his position of head of the council. He also became an actual father when Pythia gave birth to twins, Sage and Mizu, and when the Ancient’s Egg hatched into Roz.

Inua has been head of the council since it's creation. Which each new god that rose, the council grew in both size and complexity, which brought more rules that he upholds as leader. However, Inua personally dislikes being stern, and would rather discipline the others out of compassion rather than anger. Because of this, some of the other gods consider him a push-over. Pythia often offers to approach repeat offenders to discipline them in Inua's stead.

Personality

Inua had always been sweet, kind hearted, and loving. Doing anything to cause the others to fear him genuinely makes him upset, even if he realizes that it may be a necessity in his authoritative position. He's always quick to apologize, and doesn't shy away from showing his soft side by offering hugs or drying tears like a father would. He's also easy to make worry, and he's prone to panicking.

Regardless of his status as the king of gods, the other gods often tease him for being modest. He does not brag about his abilities, nor does he attempt to use them as leverage against the others. Physically, he's very shy about exposing too much of his body and often covers himself with several layers of robes. He struggles with being flirtatious.
