Pythia

Pythia, known in the ancient language as P'hythiad'ren'drea, (Pih-th-ee-ah-dur-en-dur-ah) is the queen of gods and wife to King Inua. Together they rule over the Tower of the Gods, where they host council meetings with the other gods.
Pythia and Inua have had two children together; a set of twins named Sage and Mizu. Their third child, Roz, was rescued as an egg.

As a goddess, she's very soft spoken and kind, though can turn stern if she finds it necessary. The other gods address her as "mother," "the great mother," "your highness," "the queen," "queenie," or "ma'am."

Physically, Pythia is a medium to large female dragon with large, feathered wings, a long neck, big ears, and a white mane that grows from her head and neck and reaches down to her chest. Her scales are iridescent, which often catch the light from her wings and halo. She also has a long scar that spans across her face, which she had gotten during the time she was mortal. Although she could use her abilities to remove it, she chooses not to.

She also has a much smaller humanoid form, with white hair, bright eyes, large breasts, and soft features while keeping her wings, floppy ears, tail, bottom legs and talons. Her scales cover about half of her humanoid body.

Early life

During the events of the god genocide, Pythia, along with Inua and Knocta, were born when tears from the gods fell to the realm of mortals. Her egg was discovered by a closed-off village hidden deep within the mountains, where she hatched and was raised to be stealthy, efficient, but respectful. When she was deemed of age, the village leader explained that she was destined to return to the Tower of the Gods, or else the realm of mortals would meet its demise. After nearly succumbing to the harsh weather in the mountains, she found herself being rescued by the valley tribes, where she befriended Inua.

When Pythia told the shamans of the valley what her village leader had told her, they instructed Inua to travel with her to different civilizations to become stronger, and gather information on how to defeat the genocidal beast in the tower. As they traveled south, they met Knocta, who was initially against joining them in their quest. Later, during an ambush attack, Knocta threw himself in front of Pythia to save her, sacrificing his eye in the process. Both Pythia and Inua then vowed to show loyalty to him just as he did with them, which remained throughout their adult lives.

Reclaiming the tower

Because Pythia was born from one of the tears that fell from the Tower of the Gods, she was destined to be among the few to fall the genocidal beast and restore the tower to its former glory. She journeyed along the mortal lands along with Inua and Knocta, as the three honed their skills and met with the various cultures that they would come across. They discovered that the genocidal beast was made up of multiple monsters dubbed the Seven Vessels, which were destroying whatever cities they had come across. One by one, the three fell the Seven Vessels which weakened the main body of the genocidal beast that remained in the tower.

Initially, Pythia did not survive arriving at the tower controlled by the genocidal beast, as it's presence alone crushed her small body from the inside out. It was through the prayers of the mortal people that she was not only revived, but ascended to godhood, which made her and her companions strong enough to destroy the genocidal beast once and for all.

Godhood

Pythia began her godhood after the fall of the beast. Her, Inua, and Knocta knew that they alone could not restore the tower to it's original glory with the previous gods all slain and devoured. Instead, the three began to tear the genocidal beast into pieces, using the old gods that it had swallowed to form new gods. One by one they sent them out into the land of mortals to discover their purpose as gods. Pythia insisted that they set up a "guiding hand" system, so as to not make these new gods feel abandoned by them, so her, Inua, and Knocta formed the god council.

By the time she had reached adulthood, Pythia had helped recreate more than one-hundred gods to attend the council and keep the realms balanced. They began to call her by her titles, such as "mother" and "the queen". She also became a mother when she gave birth to her twins, Mizu and Sage, with the help of Sulis serving as her midwife. Her and Inua also adopted the small child that hatched out of the Ancient's Egg, Roz.

Personality

Pythia takes her title of "mother nature" to heart. She thinks of all the young gods as her children, treating them fairly and equally. She's soft spoken, and rarely raises her voice. She can, however, deal out strict punishment to those that act outside of the laws of the council. The weather outside the Tower of the Gods reflects on her mood.

She's gentle, though she's not much of a public speaker, and reserves her breath only when she has something purposeful to say. In fact, her quiet benevolence can be misleading, because she will not hesitate to use her strength to keep everyone in line. Pythia struggles with being social, prefering to keep to herself. Getting her to open up about her true feelings is a daunting task, even for Inua at times.
