Realms of the Great Tree

The Tree of Life

•The Tree of Life itself is ruled over by the Goddess of Light, Vethfolnir, and her two daughters Iggy and Morrie who reside within the tree's crown. Veth is responsible for creating souls from her down feathers and letting them float to the Lands of the Living below. Nestled in the branches above her tree are doors to other realms, which souls must walk along to enter the heavens.

Ceto's Seas

Ceto is the great Goddess of the Seas, and rules over all of the other nautical gods and sealife. While she rarely meddles much, praying to her is often custom for safe sailing, and dying by the sea often means she will guide your soul into becoming her follower.

Nidhogg's Lair

Within the roots of the Tree of Life is the lair of Nidhogg, the God of Evil. Because the great tree's roots stretch underneath the mortal realm, all mortals can feel his influence regardless if they follow him or not. Those who do follow him are enlisted in his army-- over time, a mortal's body will become more and more deformed with evil corruption; growing spikes, horns, claws, or large armor plates on their skin. Nidhogg's Lair is a mortal's only entrance to the World of Shadows.

Voodooloo

Just outside of Nidhoggs Lair is Voodooloo, the City of the Undead. Those who have died and yet are still somehow alive usually wander these streets, either trying to figure out how to get back to the realms of mortals, or are making their home here. The ruler of Voodooloo is Anaisa, who sometimes refers to herself as queen. Her followers are often skeletons, zombies, rougarou and swamp beasts.

The Underealm

The Underealm is the realm of the dead, ruled over by Knocta, the grim reaper. He travels the mortal realms searching for those who had been touched by Nott's deadly down. Those who do not pass his test of weighing less than one of his feathers gets sent to the Underealm and transformed into one of his demons, where they must prove themselves before they can be allowed into their afterlife. This often involved being sent back up to the mortal realms as a spectre, where they must act as a guardian to another mortal. Underealm demons include succubi, incubi, devils, hellhounds, demonic harpies, horned toads, chimeras and others.

Abyss

Abyss is, like her name implies, the sentient space in between realms. She is everywhere all at once, which allows her to bridge two planes of existence together. Because of this, many summon her (or rather, request entry to get dragged into her pocket dimension,) to transport themselves back and forth between realms. She has no concept of time, and time stops for anyone who steps into one of her portals.

Wunderealm

After escaping the Underealm, Lochlynn's mother, a succubus named Alice, became a powerful goddess and created Wunderealm for herself and her children. Unlike the Underealm, Wunderealm is bright, cheerful, and as equally chaotic. Here, death is outlawed, and the realm itself will change according to Alice's mood. Most souls who find themselves in Wunderealm get stuck there.
